Between Amman and Azrak, the castle is a Hallabat 8th century Umayyad villa 

built in basalt and limestone blocks reused from existing monuments.

This feature explains the numerous Greek inscriptions carved on the blocks.

In addition, the walls are decorated with ornaments frescoes on

the floor of some rooms, you can, by carefully spreading sand, clear the

remains of some mosaics protected by nature.
